2005 Team Red Zone Possessions
Everyone knows who produced fantasy points and who didn't. We're looking here for foundational stats that enable us to better assess whether bottom-line production was properly supported. If not, we revise 2006 rankings upward or downward depending on the stength or weakness of the supporting statistic.
Here, with team red zone possessions, we're looking at which teams create the most, best scoring opportunities for skill players. These stats should be cross-referenced withour red zone usage stats on the list to your right. We've included red zone possessions allowed to give us another indicator as to which defenses were the stingiest in 2005. It's also a nod to our Stat Power Index, which proves that net red zone possessions is as strong a winning statistic as there is in the NFL. Too obvious? Perhaps. But then why does no one talk about it?
